Letter from the Director

Dear Parents,

   We are very grateful and applaud your decision to seek Central Christian School (CCS) as the provider of your child's education.  Our goal here at CCS is to provide our students with a solid, well-rounded education in a loving, Christian environment.

   Our PK-3, PK-4, and kindergarten classes are exposed to the outstanding A BEKA curriculum.  The superiority is evident when we have our students leaving PK-4 reading!  A combination of Saxon Math, A BEKA, Bob Jones, and other supplemental materials make up the curriculum used in education our elementary and middle school grade levels.

   Our desire here at Central Christian School is to prepare all of our students who leave us to be able to make smooth transitions into any new school they might attend.  We believe that in order for us to realize this goal, we must achieve academic excellence to the highest degree.  Our strategy in reaching said academic excellence is actually quite simple- we must incorporate the TEKS objectives (State's standard curriculum) into our everyday lessons.  Although we do not administer the State's annual standardized test, the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS), previously released tests will be used as, and only as, a benchmark.  This is so that we may assess where our students stand academically, and therefore be able to adjust our curriculum accordingly to meet their personal needs.  Of course, without a doubt, we aspire to exceed the minimum standards set by the State.

   We are convinced that our staff is more than capable of rendering the best possible education for your children.  We are very blessed to have teachers who are willing to serve the Lord by educating the children placed in ther care to the highest standards.

   Again, we thank you and are delighted that you are considering Central Christian School as your child's source of education.  May the Lord guide you in all your decisions.
